İsmail Aydın is specialized in Maritime Law and Insurance Law and has extensive experience in practice.
Mr. Aydın advises his clients on hull and machinery (H&M) and protection and indemnity (P&I) insurance matters, customs problems, smuggling, ship accidents, as well as advising on legal proceedings.
In addition to Turkey, Aydın has significant experience and reputation in handling freight claims, wet and dry transportation, customs issues in more than 30 countries in the Black Sea, Mediterranean, Northern Europe and West Africa regions. Mr. Aydin has advised shipping companies and agents worldwide for many years, representing them in various matters and in various jurisdictions.
He has extensive knowledge and experience in OFAC, EC and United Nations sanctions matters relating to Iran, Syria, Libya, Russia.
Mr. Aydin holds a Master’s degree in Maritime Law from Lund University and World Maritime University.
